Morrison, Colorado - Veteran's Memorial

There is a small, obscure memorial to Veterans in Morrison Colorado. On the main street along side the creek that flows through the small town, home of Red Rocks. It is a fairly recent addition to the city, the M-16 and Vietnam era helmet are clues.  On the memorial is a script, hard to read in the pictures.

Here is that text inscribed in the memorial -

"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance
When you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.

Do not be ashamed to say you love them, though you may or may not have always.
Take what they taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call war insane,
Take on moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind. "

Thank you to all Vets of all ages, and God Bless America.

The Old 1978 Shovelhead

This is my 78 Shovel in the original configuration when I bought it. Later on I fully customized it. ORANGE !

Had to push it up Sheridan Blvd the first day, gas leaks. Protip - Harleys, ( even old ones ) are heavy !

More fun at The Road House on Sheridan Blvd.

Keep that seat warm !
