1929 Ford Roadster

This 1929 Ford Roadster shown by Vic Frank has it all. An original Ford four-cylinder engine, great details and an overdrive. 75 MPH highway driving; no problem. A beautiful rag-top, satin black paint and a monster header. Love this one!

32 Ford HiBoy Roadster - After A Hiatus

After a really busy year I finally got around to visiting a car show. This year's Windsor Cruise-In during the Harvest Festival was more packed with cars than I have seen in the past. There were lots of goodies to see and for once I spent more time chatting than taking pictures. The great turnout may have had something to do with the Good Guys Car Show being at the Budweiser Event Center the following weekend.

Like a mirror
Here's a beautiful 32 Ford HiBoy Hardtop Roadster shown by Wayne and Marcy Gross of Windsor, CO. I posted it up first because it is for sale and it'd be nice if I could help them sell it!

It probably won't last long

Utterly spotless everywhere

In as nice as out.

Clean details

The Mustang next door is clearly visible

Special thanks to my Dad who was with me and truly speaks the language of the old school Hot Rodders. It didn't hurt that the ladies all took a shopping trip that day too... Subsequently, we were able to make it through the entire show.

1955 Chevy Belair Hardtop

Here's a great little 55 Chevy Belair two door hardtop with a 327 V8, 700R4 Auto transmission and power brakes all the way around. A 10 bolt Nova 3.31 Posi differential puts the power to the road. It's got all the modern cool with all the nostalgia in one place. It even sports the original factory power seats. Rare bird, this one.

The last photo I have in my stock... I'm going to have to find some time to hit a few more shows!

More style than one car is allowed to have.

1956 Mercury Montclair

Shown by Will Anderson of Fort Collins Colorado, this 1956 Mercury Montclair is as clean can be. This one features nicely detailed lake pipes and a big continental kit. Other features that stand out are the circular patterned wheels, the subtle striping and chrome that looks a hundred miles deep.

Chrome, with chrome, and a bit of extra chrome.

Lake Pipes aka Cut Outs

Continental Kit and cool wheel detail.

1941 Chevy 2 Door Sedan

Here's a beauty; a 1941 Chevy two door Sedan shown by Larry Horst of Windsor Colorado. The metallic red paint shows a mild patina and the stance of the car is perfect. Sure, the finish doesn't glow, but it sure shines and the ride means business. This is a driven Hot Rod; I like that.

1961 AMC Rambler Classic

Here's one for the AMC Guys and Gals. A 1961 AMC Rambler Classic built from the ground up. Complete with air conditioning and a picnic in the trunk. I love the Bail Out Studebaker bumper sticker too. Not original perhaps, but good. This apparently all original is shown by Ted Hollman of Windsor, CO.

1967 Ford Fairlane GT

One of the meanest looking Fords to ever smoke tires. This 1967 Ford Fairlane beauty is owned and shown by Allen Guffey of Fort Collins, Colorado. '67 was a good year.

Foose Stallion Mustang

I stopped in at Best Buy in Centerra the other day to pick up some parts for a client and there it is, a Foose designed 2007 Mustang! At least a 2007 is my best guess...

In case anybody doesn't know about Chip Foose, go check this out. The partnership with Unique Performance that created the beast went south and got very ugly quite a few years ago. Too bad, it was a nice looking design.

I don't have any specific details on this car but it is very nicely put together. I found references to the Foose Stallion here at the Mustang Forum and here at Supercars.net . I came out of the store as it drove off and it sounds as good as it looks.

I snapped the shots with my Droid Ultra. Not too bad a camera for having a phone stuck to it...

1932 Ford 5 Window Coupe

Here's a great little '32 Ford 5 Window Coupe shown by Larry Foster of Fort Collins Colorado. It has nice, understated details throughout. Small bits of chrome accent set off the by the red grill, wheels and pin-striping make this rod great to look at. Outstanding package all together!

On a side note... Spring is coming along once again. Time to update the Streets of Denver to a warmer background. Asphalt and greenery.

1967 Plymouth Barracuda

Sure, early 70's Plymouth 'Cudas are nice. They're all muscular, big, and mean, but you can keep 'em. This is my favorite Barracuda, 1967 through 1969 Formula S.

Late at night, if I'm feeling all Mopar and sleepless, I'll surf www.cctol.com looking for that one out there that's calling to me. The one the angry divorcee is selling for revenge on her soon to be ex. I know it's out there.

This one was shown by Michael Paulus of Loveland, Colorado. I don't think it's a real Formula S, but I'm not positive. Close enough though, it's pretty stock, and I don't have a major problem with clones.

The grill is good and so is the hood

1956 Chevrolet 210 Wagon

Here's another shrunken Hot Rod. This one is a 1956 Chevy 210 Wagon. I found a 1957 Chevy El Camino two-door Chopper Coupe like this at Colorado Auto and Parts Salvage Yard in Sheridan Colorado a while back.
I can't imagine where idea for this style of custom came from. Maybe someone needed a tighter turning radius? City parking? Wheelies?

This little trick is owned by Bruce Walden of Fort Collins. It's jacked up like an old school dragster, has beautiful body work, and is clean, clean, clean! Do I think it's cool? Yes. Do I want one? No.

The perspective seems wonky.
It's like I have a fisheye lense

1956 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery

I've always been a fan of a Sedan Delivery. When I was a kid I had a Matchbox car named "VanTastic". I'm pretty sure it was loaded up with a miniature Black Les Paul Standard and a '76 Marshall half stack; maybe that was just my imagination. Later in life I ended up using this Chevy Van instead.

Now I can't help imagining delivering a stack of fresh-baked, Rackable, HP, or IBM Xeon servers in this wonderful, blue beast!  The blown 350 should provide just the right dose of horsepower to get the systems on site, right on time. Sure, the carb and scoop block the view a bit, but that'd be a sacrifice I'd be willing to make.
