Car show season is here
again. The Opening salvo in this year’s shows was the very classy Exotic Sports Car Show & Concours d’Elegance at Arapahoe Community College. (Sunday,
June 9th at the ACC campus in Littleton,
Colorado.)
This show is a Concours D’Elegance type show
rather than the hot-rod and motorcycles. In fact, this year’s focus was on
Porsches. Many high-dollars cars were there in attendance. A gorgeous day, very
hot and sun-shiny. My guess is that there were about 200 beautiful cars there. Not
only the Euro Marques mentioned , but an array of Mustangs, some Detroit Iron,
and a few other rarities.
Some of the cars I like best
were not in the show, but in the parking lot, like the old Chevy Apache
Pickup with the great flame job.
Favorites- the Plymouth Road
Runner and the 1956 550 Silver Porsche
And- I heard it , I looked up
at the sky and caught one shot of a B-17 bomber flying fairly low overhead, I
believe it is “ Aluminum Overcast “ which was scheduled to be here in Denver
that week.
What a sound. You can’t miss
it.
Here are a few of the pics
from the show.
a GT 500-pretty rare.
What a thing of pure beauty.
The stuff that car dreams are made of - 56 Gull Wing Mercedes.
