Here's a truck I'd never heard of, or seen before, the 1957 Chevy Cameo Pickup. Only 2,244 of these were made in 1957 and this one was sold in new in Colorado. The design language of the pickup is beautiful. While I was looking at it I could see the similarities in the curves and panels that the Corvette and Bel Air designs of the same year shared. What a great vehicle!
It was shown by Dean Mills, the second owner, who did an unusual thing by making it into a RestoMod. Originally it came with a 283 ci V-8 and a three speed overdrive transmission. To get it to keep up, and likely shame, modern traffic he upgraded it to a carbureted, all aluminum six liter V-8 with 480 horsepower. Putting the power to the wheels is a 700 R4 automatic transmission mated to a 4:11 Positraction rearend.

On top of the beautiful interior and exterior finish work, he added Brazilian Tigerwood flooring in the bed. The truck's original features include the fiberglass box and tailgate cover and paintwork. Great truck!
